Hi there! I'm Jillian—born and raised here in North Carolina, with a creative spirit since day one. I’ve always been an artist, and my passion for design truly took root when I transferred to Mount Airy High School and discovered their incredible CTE program. After quickly earning certifications for using the Adobe Creative Suite, I dove headfirst into internship programs like Surry-Yadkin Works, focusing on graphic design and social media marketing, which turned into a full-time career straight out of high school.

Fast forward to today—going on 22 years old, I've already gathered nearly five years of professional experience in marketing roles. Before launching Root & Rise Branding, I served as the Lead Videographer and Graphic Designer at LazerEdge, creating dynamic marketing solutions for local businesses and clients like the Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce.

I founded Root & Rise because branding is where my design work truly shines (I was that designer who eagerly took on every project and spent hours soaking up knowledge on YouTube after work!). While my skillset spans from videography, illustration, print design and more, nothing sparks my excitement quite like crafting a strategic visual identity.

Above all, I deeply appreciate the amazing community of small businesses in Mount Airy and the surrounding areas- the people here are truly special. It brings me joy to help fellow entrepreneurs confidently build brands they adore and businesses they're proud to share.
